What is At-Home Pet Euthanasia?

Is the hospital at home service the right choice for your pet and what are the benefits?

At-home pet euthanasia can be thought of as a compassionate extension of veterinary care, providing a peaceful and dignified end-of-life experience for your beloved pet, right in the comfort and familiarity of your own home.

Much like the comprehensive care offered in a veterinary clinic, we bring the necessary expertise and sensitivity to your home, ensuring your pet's comfort during their final moments. This service includes thorough consultations, gentle handling, and the administration of euthanasia in a serene and loving environment.

While certain medical situations require in-clinic care, such as extensive surgeries or prolonged hospitalization, the option of at-home euthanasia is designed to spare your pet the stress of a clinic visit during their most vulnerable time. Should your pet need any preliminary examinations or assessments before making this difficult decision, I can provide these services at home, ensuring a seamless and stress-free process for both you and your pet.

In the rare case that further medical evaluation is necessary before proceeding with euthanasia, I can facilitate the transport of your pet to my base hospital, the Swanbourne Vet Centre, for comprehensive care. Following any required procedures, your pet will be returned to you with detailed home care instructions and any necessary medications, minimizing their discomfort and stress throughout the process.
